Class Warfare is Dowdeswell's highly dramatised document portraying the growing chasm in society between rich and poor. The painting is littered with symbolic meaning from poor suburban housing, to oil fields, commuters, T.V, shopping, war, the stock markets and the hope of the proleteriat. It is the artists painful observation of an increasingly narcissistic society and also a call to action, if not a call to arms.
