Vortescapes are darkly comic, frenetic, fictional tales of life in the city.  In the midst of the chaos are scenes of Big Brother, neon lights, fast cars, fast trains, commuters, quick fixes, espionage, murder, deceit, loneliness, hope, love and the possibility of an enlightened future.

To create the paintings Thomas studied images from Vorticism, Cubo-Futurism and the Avant-Garde to create scenes which reflect the digitalised 21st Century.  The detail and exactitude of the work further comments on what is hand crafted and what is digitally produced and is intended to raise questions about the role of technology in contemporary art.

All of the works are available in print form from A3 to A0 printed on 300gsm fine art paper. From £75.00.
