The American Series-Kicking Through the Wall
The latest painting to come out of 'The American Series'. The abstract torso of a body/figure is suspended by ropes across a bastardised version of the US flag; the stars have been removed and the stripes inverted as a comment on the destablisising effects of right wing policies on traditional democractic values. Below this a huge leg kicks through the fabric of the flag and points directly at the viewer, perhaps condemnining them for the prejudice or apathy or perhaps indpiring them to raise and stand against bigotry.
Oil on Canvas.
